What do you think of when you hear “charter school?”

Randi Weingarten has published an interesting article that calls into question the assumptions that people have when they attempt to define charter schools. In her article Charter Schools as Incubators or Charter Schools Inc.?,  published 11/15/2015 on Huffington Post, Randi describes the variability of performance and accountability of charter schools.

This article is a great foundation article for those of us who are new to charter schools, and food for thought for those of us who have been involved with them for years. This article ultimately calls for the same level of oversight and transparency for all schools, an argument that we can all agree on.

Give it read and let us know what you think!
